Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly: Empowering Grassroots Community Sports Since 1983
The Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly (WRSA) is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the growth, development, and promotion of sport and recreation at the grassroots level in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia. Established in 1983, WRSA has been a cornerstone in fostering community engagement through sports for over four decades.
WRSA serves as a vital link between local clubs and state and national bodies, ensuring that the needs and priorities of the region are addressed. The Assembly has formed solid partnerships with Sport and Recreation Victoria, VicHealth, local governments, and health agencies to provide quality services to Wimmera sports clubs and associations.
The Assembly’s office is situated at 22B Pynsent Street in Horsham, where staff readily provide information and support on a variety of sports-related topics. With a wide range of experience and knowledge, the team is committed to assisting wherever possible to promote active participation and opportunities in sport and recreation for all people.
